SA OCEAN: FIRST HYBRID MODULAR WIRED/BLUETOOTH EARPHONE IN INDIA
The Signature Acoustics OCEAN (codenamed: Fe-01) is a truly one-of-a-kind modular earphone that can be used in both wired and Bluetooth configuration. Moreover, each side has not one or two but 3 drivers (two coaxial dynamic + 1 balanced armature) to deliver engaging, entertaining sound. The name OCEAN is inspired by the fact that the co-axial dynamic drivers produce really DEEP bass.
In all, 6 drivers work in perfect synergy to create a remarkably immersive aural experience (Write to sales@signatureacoustics.com for a chance to audition this earphone for FREE – limited spots available)
The SA Ocean is literally overflowing with distinguishing features, such as:
- Each side of the SA Ocean features two co-axial dynamic drivers plus one balanced armature. Total 6 drivers functioning coherently.
- Signature Acoustics is the first Indian brand to launch a hybrid earphone (dual driver + balanced armature). Balanced armature produces high fidelity sound in mid and high frequencies efficiently. Addition of two co-axial dynamic drivers ensures tight, non-muddy and punchy bass. They all jam in together to produce staggeringly addictive audio.
- The Ocean can handle all genres of music gracefully but it is more suited towards hip hop, R&B, pop and so on. If you are inclined towards classical, rock, blues, jazz, check out our other hybrid earphone, SA RAVEN.
- OCEAN has modular design, thus making the handmade cables replaceable. They have been designed to enhance durability, comfort and sound quality. Users can choose a style of cable that best complements their taste and lifestyle. You can further add pure stereo cables or stereo cables with mic.
- The IPX 5 waterproof & dust-proof Bluetooth 5.0 cable (separate accessory) weighs just 13 grams and have a 150 mAH battery that’s expected to last for an incredible 15 hours (We’re still testing different prototypes as of now). It features the most advanced flagship QCC3034 chipset and supports aptX, aptXHD, aptX Low Latency, CVC, SBC,and AAC.
- This is a genuine audiophile grade product with astounding sound. Get prepared to be mesmerized.
The Ocean has its silent caves,Deep, quiet, and alone;Though there be fury on the waves,Beneath them there is none……..……….The ocean solitudes are blest,For there is purityExcerpt from ‘The Ocean’ by Nathaniel Hawthorne
Received my pair this morning. I intend to give it the 50 hours of ‘burning in’ period as the booklet advised though the sound is already fantastic. Punchy with clarity; like hearing the trickling of a stream beside a rumbling waterfall. As you can guess from that analogy, I probably don’t qualify as an audiophile and I haven’t delved deep into the physics involved, but I am curious about the differing results from the Ocean and the Raven. The only clue in your pages for these products appears to be that one is equipped with coaxial dynamic drivers and the other simply dynamic drivers. I’m assuming that isn’t an omission in the text since you have made it a point to mention the preference of genres for either set of earphones. I’ll be writing a glowing review on Amazon once they give me the option to review.
Meanwhile, here are some suggestions I have based on my initial experience with Ocean:- I had, and have, issues with the packaging they came in. Starting from the outside in, the design layout on the packaging needs to match the class of the product. As it is, it resembles a cheap electronics item. Inside, the booklet could do with some diagrams, and the earphones were difficult/tricky to remove from the foam. After all I was trying to be careful since it is a brand new product.
The earphones themselves are beautiful, almost sexy, and nice to handle. I’ll leave deeper dives into the audio to better qualified. Keep up the great work!
